Garstig's exhibition and panel talk is an event centered on women in the food industry, inspired by Garstig Magazine, a publication founded by photographer Marie-Lisette and graphic designer and illustrator Paulina Stoellger.

The magazine is dedicated to giving women a voice, particularly those working in the food industry. This inaugural issue highlights the stories, craft, and experiences of women in the food industry , aiming to draw attention to the under-representation of women in professional kitchens and celebrate their contributions to the culinary world.

The event features a panel discussion titled "Hospitality, Intersectionality & Community," led by restaurateur, author, and HAPPA founder Sophia Hoffmann.  The panel includes accomplished female chefs: Kaylin Eu (owner of Ma-Makan), Edwina Krueger (owner of Love Deluxe), Sophie Hardy (owner of Annelies, Bertie, Distrikt), and Alexandra Strödel (head chef at EI-12437-B).

Together, they will discuss their experiences and challenges in the industry, emphasizing the importance of community and intersectionality in hospitality. The event and the magazine issue aim to inspire other women to pursue careers in the food industry, encouraging resilience and resistance in a field traditionally dominated by men.

Along side the photo exhibition  and panel talk we will feature a food installation by set designer Nina Oswald .
